The findings obtained from this study, which aims to examine the mortality situation of the Turkish population in the period of 2009–2019, are as follows: The rapid migration from rural to urban areas also has a great impact on this. In the country where 4,370,532 people lost their lives in 11 years, deaths occurred mostly in the winter season. The country's average annual crude death rate is 5.85‰. In terms of crude death rate, Kastamonu took the first place in Turkey with a rate of 9.77 per thousand. The ratio of the population aged 65 and over to the total population is quite high in all provinces where the crude death rate is high in the country. On the other hand, the province with the lowest crude death rate in the country with a rate of 2.93‰ is Şırnak. In the provinces where the crude death rate is low in the country, the ratio of the population aged 65 and over to the total population is very low. 54.81% of the deaths in the country were men and 45.19% were women. The largest share among the deceased belongs to those aged 75 and over with 48.09%.
